​Main activities of the Ministry:

Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management performs administrative and other professional duties regarding: protection and utilization of agricultural land; protection of agriculture herbs and products against the diseases, noxiousness and weed; production and turnover of seeds and seed material; education of agricultural producer; production and progress, raising and selection of livestock breeding; food industry; fodder industry; beverage industry; veterinary activities; health care and identification for animals; veterinary-sanitary control of wellness and quality of raw materials and products of animal origin until they are put on sale, fodder and water for livestock watering; improvement of forestry production; growing, protection, arrangement and improvement of forests; state of wood resources; exploitation of forests; forestation of degraded and sprout forests, bare mountainous terrains and karsts; communication in forests; hunting and hunting economy; complete management of environmental waters; preparation and passing of plans and basis; water balance; conducting of protection from harmful effects of waters; setting conditions and issuing of permits for scooping and use of waters; carrying out and organizing of water quality control; taking measures to provide water for the needs of citizens and industry; hydro and land reclamation; functioning of Republic weather bureau and anti-hail protection of Republic of Srpska; inspection supervision in the agricultural, veterinary, forestry, hunting and waterpower engineering sectors; providing information via medias and other ways of presenting information of its activities and performs other duties according to the law and other regulations of Republic of Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
